Walks from the Great Little Trains of Wales - David & Catherine Wightman
A useful little guide for anyone planning a Walking holiday in Wales with detailed descriptions and a map for 20 different walks using the Talyllyn, Bala Lake, Fairbourne, Ffestiniog, Welsh Highland, Welshpool & Llanfair, Welsh Highland Heritage & Vale of Rheidol Railways as starting points.
Each of the walks starts from a point on the railway and explores some of the stunning scenery that these railways run through. There are 3 walks based around the Talyllyn Railway. The first starts from Dolgoch Falls Station and heads around Bird Rock with views of Cadair Idris and the Fathew & Dysinni Valleys. The second takes Nant Gwernol as its start point and takes in Castell Y Bere in the Dysinni Valley. The third goes from Rhydyronen into Nant Braich Y Rhiw.
